Isabel Strahan
Solicitor
Isabel is a Solicitor at Lewis Family Lawyers and was admitted as a lawyer in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2024.
Isabel commenced her legal career as a paralegal in 2022 and has gained experience assisting clients across a range of family law matters, including property settlements, parenting arrangements, financial agreements and divorce applications.
Prior to joining the firm, Isabel gained valuable court experience as a Deputy Associate to a Judge of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Division 2). Through this role, she developed a strong understanding of family law practice and procedure and gained practical insight into the operation of the Court and the legal system more broadly.
Isabel holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts, majoring in International Relations and minoring in Cultural Studies, from the University of Wollongong.
Isabel adopts a pragmatic and compassionate approach to her work. She understands that family law matters can often feel emotionally charged and overwhelming and aims to provide clients with clarity, understanding and practical guidance. Drawing on her experience in both family law and the Court, Isabel strives to create an environment where clients feel heard, supported and empowered to make informed decisions.
A moment that stuck with Isabel – “One moment that has stayed with me, both professionally and personally, was my admission into the Supreme Court of New South Wales. Having my sister move my admission made it especially meaningful for me and my family, and reminded me of the support and relationships that ground my work.”
